Repertoire

The AMWChoir’s music is carefully chosen by our national music team. Our songs are arranged for female voice ranges. Everything in our repertoire speaks in some way to our unique experience of being connected with a defence force serving member.

Our repertoire includes contemporary pop, older favourites, show tunes, seasonal ceremonial, celebration songs and original choral pieces such as:

  • The AMWChoir signature song, Military Wife, which was penned by Cath P, with inspiration from AMWChoir members;

  • Build a Circle was written by Cath P and arranged by National Accompanist Sylvia W, for the Invictus Games in 2018;

  • Do the Stars Shine for Me, a lullaby written by Jay, an ADF serving member, and released in 2020 as a Christmas virtual choir project.

Military Wife

Do the Stars Shine for Me by Jay Parsons

THE SIMPLE, ENCOURAGING MESSAGE OF THIS ORIGINAL SONG WAS OUR CHRISTMAS GIFT TO DEFENCE FAMILIES IN 2020. IT CONTAINS OUR PURPOSE FOR SINGING AS WE MOVE THROUGH 2021. THE STARS DO SHINE FOR WOMEN & GIRLS CONNECTED TO CURRENTLY SERVING ADF MEMBERS. SINGING IS OUR WAY OF REACHING FOR THOSE STARS!
